The Adventurer: Curse of the Midas Box - Low-budget fantasy.

Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (3) - A reboot of the Tom Clancy character starring Chris Pine. Delayed out of 2013, which is not a good sign, but the footage shown in front of Wolf of Wall Street looked pretty good. Directed by Kenneth Branagh.

The Knights of Badassdom (2.5) - Long-delayed fantasy about LARPers summoning a demon, starring Peter Dinklage and Summer Glau.

I, Frankenstein (3) - Frankenstein turned into an action movie. Reminds me of Underworld.

Monuments Men (2.5) -  Fantastic cast, looks like an interesting story, so why was it delayed out of 2013's Oscar season?
The LEGO Movie (3.5) - The Lego video games have been pretty fun...
Lust for Love (3.5) - Small-budget romantic comedy featuring rather a lot of actors from Dollhouse. Update: This is apparently only going to be released online. It was funded by a 2011 Kickstarter.

Winter's Tale (2) -  Romance/Fantasy Valentine's-bait based on a book.
Vampire Academy -  Based on a teen paranormal book series.

Welcome to Yesterday - Teenage time-travel movie. Unfortunately, it's shot as found-footage (shakycam). Delayed Feb 5 to an unknown date.

300: Rise of an Empire (2.5) - A sequel to 2006's 300, which was based on Frank Miller's graphic novel. This was delayed from 2013, which is usually not a good sign.
Journey to the West  - A Chinese fantasy.
Jodorowsky's Dune - A movie about a movie that never got made.
The Grand Budapest Hotel (3.5) - Wes Anderson.

Need For Speed (1.5) - Based on the driving video game.
Veronica Mars - Based on the TV show, and funded by Kickstarter.

Divergent (2.5) -  Another dystopian teen book adaptation.
Nymphomanic - Part 1, and limited release. From Lars Von Trier. Second part might be scheduled for April 18.

Noah (2) - Darren Aronofsky directing the biblical story... sort of. It doesn't seem much like I remember it.

Under the Skin - Scarlett Johansson competing against herself as an alien who preys on men. Good buzz on the festival circuit.

St. Vincent De Van Nuys - Bill Murray as a misanthropic neighbor.

Transcendence (2) - Johnny Depp as a scientist who uploads himself into a computer.

Brick Mansions (2.5) - Paul Walker in a remake of the French Sci-Fi/Parkour/Rap movie Disctrict B13 from 2004.
Locke - A gimmick drama which apparently takes places entirely while the main character is driving.

Belle - Based on the true story of the mixed-race daughter of an 18th-C British Admiral. Also features Emma Watson and Tom Felton.

Lucy (1.5) - Sci-fi/superhero movie directed by Luc Besson and starring Scarlett Johansson.

Boyhood (4.5) - A boy grows up in a dysfunctional family. Filmed over ten years(!)

Life Itself - The Roger Ebert documentary, not to be confused with the other movie of the same name coming out this year.

Into the Woods (3.5) - Based on the wonderful Sondheim musical fairy tale romp.

Space Station 76 - A 1970s version of the future.
Barely Lethal - Hailee Steinfeld as an assassin trying to go to high school.
Inherent Vice - Drugs and detectives in the 70s. Based on a Pynchon novel with an all-star cast. Pushed to Jan 9 '15
A Long Way Down -  Based on a well-regarded book.
