Pirates 4: On Stranger Tides

Pirates: Entertaining, but frequently felt phoned-in; a franchise movie rather than a movie that has to stand on its own merit. It actually had the material to be good, but scenes that should have been emotionally impactful weren’t, and some plot elements were weak, nonsensical, or unnecessary. Still, I enjoyed it. Not as good as Pirates 1, but better than 2 or 3, for me.
